Types of Data collected

 

The User data collected during the pre-activation phase and the operation of the Service chosen by the user are of two types:

1. Personal data collected during the activation of Services, independently or through third parties, which are: name, surname, personal data, Fiscal Code, job, phone numbers, car data such as the brand, model, plate, and date of first registration.

2. Data on the use of the installed GPS device collected during the operation of the telematic service chosen, which are: GPS position, speed, driving style, any alarms generated in case of theft and / or emergency generated automatically by the installed GPS device or manually user.

Personal Data may be freely provided by the User or, in the case of Usage Data, collected automatically when using the installed GPS device.

All the requested Data are mandatory and, in the absence of their transfer, it may be impossible for MIOT International to provide the service.

Users who have doubts about which data are mandatory, are encouraged to contact the owner.

 

Method of treatment

 

The Owner treats Users' Data by taking appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, modification or destruction of the Data.

Processing is carried out using IT and / or telematic tools, with organizational methods and with logic strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Data Controller, in some cases, the Data may have access to the Data subjects of the persons involved in the organization of the site (administrative, commercial, marketing, legal, system administrators) or external subjects (as suppliers of third party technical services, postal couriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communication agencies) also appointed, if necessary, Data Processors by the Data Controller. 1. Management of Services

The recording of data, on appropriate archives, has the main purpose of managing the Service chosen by the User in a timely manner: each GPS / GPRS device is uniquely matched to a single User.

2. Contact the User

With the registration of data, on special archives, you have the possibility to contact the User in the event of an alarm (automatic or manual) generated by the installed GPS device. The user may be sent messages and emails containing information, including commercial and promotional, related to the services activated.

3. Statistics

The services contained in this section allow the Data Controller to monitor and analyze data and are used to keep track of the User's driving style for statistical purposes.

4. Management of Users databases

This type of Services allows the Owner to build user profiles starting from any information that the User provides automatically or manually, using the GPS / GPRS device, as well as tracing the User's activities through statistical functions.

Defense in court

The Data concerning the User (personal and use of the device) may be used by the Owner in court or in the stages leading to his possible establishment for the defense against abuse in the use of the device or related services by the User.
