MioT Programming Cloud Service
Management tool set.
Also called Back Office, MioT connectivity management is key to a successful IoT deployment.
With the right connectivity solution, every IoT connected device can be managed and secured throughout its lifecycle, from device onboarding, provisioning and updates with FOTA (Firmware Over The Air), through to end-of-life decommissioning.
MioT connectivity managem enables global, seamless connectivity across multiple device types, networks, and regions, with one cost-effective contract.
MioT Cloud Bridge
Send information everywhere
Send information from any MioT sensor node to any Cloud Platform by simply using a unique HTTPS request
MioT Cloud Bridge is a service for connecting sensor nodes with many cloud services available for data analysis and graphical representation. Data goes through the MioT Cloud Bridge service to the final cloud service. The MioT Cloud Bridge service has a buffer of limited size that is cleared as far as data is sent to the final cloud service.

The cloud service connectors currently available in the MioT Cloud Bridge service are:
-AWS IoT
-Microsoft Azure Event Hubs
-Microsoft Azure IoT Hubs
-MQTT
-SAP Hana
-Telit IoT Platform
The MioT Cloud Bridge service has three functionalities:
-Configure your cloud connectors

-Configure your gateways
MioT Security and DATA escrow Warranty
Global protection
MioT devices generate and servers process a huge amount of data every day (Big Data).
Protection of those data is imperative, If the data is accessed by malicious parties, there could be serious consequences.
To secure the MioT business, security policy involves a lot more than just protecting data.
Here an overlook how we secure MioT telematics infrastructure.
MioT telematics infrastructure security policy is provided by the following components:
-MioT In-vehicle device security
-MioT Cloud platform security
-MioT Over the air network security
-MioT external Data centre protection
-MioT internal Data centre protection
-Legal protection
MioT in-vehicle device security
Thanks to our deep experience on the automotive security field we have a deep knowledge about how to secure those parts so the in-vehicle security is a combination of protective features.
-Unit are constantly monitoring the Vehicle even if they are sleeping (super low power consumption) they instantly wakeup and report any attempt of manipulation.
-When the unit is installed it proactive dialog with the vehicle to be sure about the identity of the vehicle.
-In case, a communication or connection is broken, the device sends an alert immediately since the device has an internal backup battery to continue operation even if the power is cut.
-The health of the vehicle battery as well the unit internal battery is constantly monitored so any anomalies is immediately reported.
-Internal sensors sense when the unit is physically manipulated, also this case is an anomalies immediately reported.
-Devices are design and installed to avoid to interfere with the vehicle systems and data busses. -When standards require an indirect connection is establish so unit only read data by and inductive coupled device instead of writing data.
Miot Cloud platform security
Our cloud platform is secured by industry standards like HTTPS, TLS1.3,.
For systems access, we work by the ISO27001 standards.
Platform administrators on the user side are in control when it comes to grant or prevent access to users, set permissions and force users to use high-security standards like password strength and duration.
Of course, our platform is compliant with the General Data Protection Act (GDPR)
Next to physical security features, our telematics hardware contains a rich set of security features to prevent malicious access or control.
MioT Over the air network security
All communication transferred from edge to cloud and vice versa are sent through our own virtual private network (VPN),the VPN creates a connection between the unit on the field and the internet that surrounds our internet data like a tunnel, encrypting the data packets our device sends.
Moreover In our schema of communication the unit on the field are impossible to reach since they are responsible to open the communication with the Cloud server and our Cloud Server is the only servers the units ever know.
This is far more secure than using the public network, all communication is encrypted, nobody along the VPN tunnel is able to intercept, monitor, or alter our communication.
All the protocols we use in our communications are secret and custom made (not standard)
As an extra security feature, all data is encrypted end-to-end.
MioT external Data centre security
MioT partner, Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides highest standard of protection. Read more about the AWS security here. https://aws.amazon.com/security/
Cloud security at AWS is the highest priority. As an AWS customer, you will benefit from a data center and network architecture built to meet the requirements of the most security-sensitive organizations.
An advantage of the AWS cloud is that it allows customers to scale and innovate, while maintaining a secure environment. Customers pay only for the services they use, meaning that you can have the security you need, but without the upfront expenses, and at a lower cost than in an on-premises environment.
MioT main data centre is located in Frankfurt, but all servers are located in three geographically disparate locations within the EU.
As Disaster recovery policy a backup is provided on tree different continent.
Any possible failure results in a fully automatic move to an alternative centre located in a different county this automatically without disrupting the service.
The data centres we use are anonymous, with no external identification, and have physical security in place 24/7.
Disaster Recovery
MioT business continuity depends on the efficient, uninterrupted flow of data across an organization from sales' operations to fulfillment.
Even a brief lapse in workload continuity can mean thousands of lost opportunities, disruption to production, and compromised customer trust.
The causes of those lapses can range from natural disasters to mechanical failure or human error.
You need a proactive cloud disaster recovery strategy that will help you stay up and running in the event that your physical infrastructure is unavailable for any length of time. MioT solution is using AWS to enable faster disaster recovery of their critical IT systems without incurring the infrastructure expense of a second physical site. AWS supports many disaster recovery architectures, from those built for smaller workloads to enterprise solutions that enable rapid failover at scale. AWS provides a set of cloud-based disaster recovery services that enable fast recovery of your IT infrastructure and data.
MioT internal Data centre security and Alarm
MioT have his own internal Data centre that is constantly update and monitored 24/7 provides highest standard of protection.
MioT internal data centre is located in Roma.
As Disaster recovery policy a backup is provided on tree different continent. The data centres is anonymous, with no external identification, and have physical security in place 24/7 and it is actively monitoring fleet under contract of security.
MioT Legal protection
Last but not least is our legal protection. Most important information about our terms and compliance with the GDPR can be found https://www.miot.cloud/ legal/
MioT complies with the General Data Protection Regulation, also called GDPR. All information on how we protect your data is stated in our General Terms & Service Agreement and our Privacy Policy.
As the continued operation and maintenance of custom software is critical to many companies, they usually desire to make sure that it continues even if the licensor becomes unable to do so.
Extra Protection: Escrow
As an extra layer of security, we’ve set up Escrow to protect our customers even if our company is in a state of bankruptcy. With Escrow, you’re 100% sure that our service will continue and that your data will remain safe and protected.
MioT Blockchain
What is Blockchain?
Blockchain technology is a secure way to log and record transactions. Once recorded, these “blocks” are then logged on a peer to peer network, within a chronological “chain”. This network can be limited to a secure number of stakeholders, with each record secure from being tampered with by anyone else within the group. This offers a secure, auditable record that is immutable as a single source of truth.
Why should pharmaceutical companies adopt blockchain technology?
Pharmaceutical supply chains are particularly complex. They transport high value products, navigating complicated routes and large stakeholder networks, while alsomaintaining strict product controls.
Due to their high value, pharmaceutical products are a key target of counterfeiting networks. This growing risk is estimated to cost the industry $200 billion dollars in lost revenue each year. However, the greatest impact is felt on the patient side, with the World Health Organization estimating that more than 1 million deaths annually are attributed to counterfeit medicines.
A fully managed service that makes it easy to create and manage scalable blockchain networks using the popular open source frameworks Hyperledger Fabric and Ethereum*.
